Tips for Changing Your Own Car Engine Oil.

Although the actual changing the oil in your car engine is an easy process, many people prefer to go to the garage to replace it. Here are some tips for those who want to save a little time and cost, by changing the oil in the engine itself.
Preparation Steps.

1. Place your car at the surface is really flat.
2. Cars have to be really in a condition to stop, if necessary, use jack stands to hold the body of the car.
3. Jack stands should always be installed when the car is lifted by the jack. Do not be under the car if the car is still in the inflated condition.
4. Always use gloves made from thick and anti-heat while changing the engine oil, to avoid the valve cover the hot oil.

Equipment Needed

3. Bowl used oil container
4. New oil filter
5. Key oil filter
6. Toothed lock opener

Changing Oil.
1. When we prepare the equipment for an oil change the engine, leave the engine on for about 10 seconds, before you start changing the oil. Then, place your car on a flat surface and attach the hand-brake.
2. Place the jack on a hard surface and if capable of supporting the car body.
3. Lift the front of the car using a jack with caution, if necessary, enter the first gear to the cars manual transmission, or to be more secure again, chock the rear tires the car with stones.
4. Look in the manual, where the valve to remove oil, usually it is located on the front-middle-bottom of the car.
5. Make sure the bowl used oil container under the oil discharge valve, before opening the valve. By using the key opener, open the valve clockwise (if you open it from the top); be careful, because maybe the oil temperature is still hot.
6. While you wait out until the oil actually runs out, you can clean the oil discharge valve and open the valve to enter the new oil, after that replace the exhaust valve, not too tight.
7. Replace the old oil filter with new. Check the seal of the filter and add a thick layer of new films to coat seal. Then install the new oil filter and tighten by hand.
8. After the new filter is installed, open the engine oil cap, insert the funnel and pour the new engine oil, according to the measure that had been set in the manual. After the full dose, close the cap back on oil and clean oil spills in the vicinity of the hole.
9. Turn on the car and leave the engine running for a while. Then check the oil level with the measuring stick (already mounted on the machine) and add more oil if needed.
10. Examine the possibility of oil leakage in the sewer and a new oil filter. If there is, tighten until no visible oil seepage. In addition, if you always add the oil to get the dose right, it means that there is oil leak on the engine. Then you should immediately check the location of the leak. Or immediately contact the nearest service station.
Note date of replacement of oil and mileage of your car. Oil should be changed every 3000 km, or every three months, if you do not too often and not much driving. Late oil change will result in easier engine temperature rising and the rough sound of the engine.
When changing oil, you should also check also other car parts that contain liquids, such as cooling, power steering, transmission and brakes. Who knew required the addition of brake fluid or oil, so you also can control it.
