Tips to keep your car looking like new

Imagine taking a look at a car from 1996. What you will typically see is car with a few dents, lots of rust and discolored paint. You then take a look at your brand new 2011 Honda Accord and wonder, “will my brand spanking new stunning piece of beauty look like that in just fifteen years?” You sincere hope to that question is a most definite and hopeful “no.”

Well, you might think, it is inevitable. It is just something that occurs over time and there is no way to stop it. But then it happens from time to time that you will come across a car from ten or fifteen years ago, and you are shocked at the condition of the vehicle. You double check the inspection sticker to make sure it really is that old, and sure enough you were not mistaken. So how is it possible that two cars born the same year could look so different?

The answer is simple; it is all about the TLC (tender, love and care) you show towards your car. In other words, there are many things people can do to prevent normal wear and tear of their vehicles that is likely to happen over the course of many years of use. One way is to invest money in a car cover. A car cover is extremely helpful since it prevents unnecessary damage that would likely occur due to pollution, dirt, rain and snow, bird feces, mud, and tree sap. You can even purchase a wholesale car cover and save money. But if your car is not kept in a garage, a car cover is extremely important.

Another way you can make sure your car always remains clean and sharp is by constantly taking it for a full service car wash. A full service car wash includes a good scrubbing of the exterior parts of the car as well as a comprehensive wash of the interior. A thorough vacuuming of the seats and rugs are also done. This insures that you can always look as fresh and clean as new. To avoid staining on your seats or car rugs, try to abstain from bringing food and drink into the car.

One more way you can help look your car look as it did when you bought it is each time your car receives a scratch or dent, no matter how small it may be, it is imperative that you take care of it as soon as possible. If you procrastinate fixing it, it will only get worse over time as it can easily get rusty.
